Pastor’s Corner – Sunday, August 2

Dear Beloved,

Thank you for all the ways you support kids and teens and their families!  Thank you for your prayers for educators and students as they prepare to head back to school.  For many the time of newness can feel exhausting and overwhelming.  Your prayers mean a lot. 

We’d also appreciate your prayers for a new learning/connecting opportunity for teens within Friedens.  In the past, students have not met for a Sunday morning class after completing middle school.  This fall we are trying something new.  High schoolers are invited to meet with Travis on the 2nd Sunday of each month and with Kali on the 4th Sunday of each month beginning in August.  High schoolers are invited to remain in worship on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.  The middle school class will continue to meet weekly.  The monthly lunches for the combined group of middle school and high school students will also still continue.  The next two lunches are July 19th and August 30th.

We are grateful for the ways all the kids and teens participate, and we are grateful for all their leaders.  Thank you again for your prayers and support.
