Pastor’s Corner – Sunday, July 5
Dear Beloved,
How is your summer going? You are in my prayers as we explore the names of God together in worship. Are there any names of God that you have connected with in a new or different way? As I write to you, I’m reflecting on the text from Sunday - Psalm 23. I would invite you to spend time in this text in a way that might be familiar or completely different to you.
Perhaps you’d like to find a musical version of this to sing or hum or play or dance to.
Maybe you’d like to draw or paint out part of the passage.
Maybe you’d like to lie down in green grass or play or sit by water as you reflect on the passage.
Perhaps you’d like to pick a few words to recite out loud or in your head and soul or breath in and out to.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil,
for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
