Good Words from the Word Part 3

We can all use some encouragement. Why not open our hearts and minds to the One we call the Word, the embodiment of Divine wisdom and life?

Do you ever feel that you don’t quite fit in, that you don’t belong? Then tune your ears to the persistent call of Jesus. A call that echoes through the centuries: Follow me! No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, Jesus loves you and invites you to follow his Way. The only requirement is willingness (see Mark 1:16-20). There are no prerequisites or references required, not even an application or a resume need be submitted for discipleship.

You do have to show up and be willing to learn and grow. The Leader is patient and compassionate, willing to go over the lessons as many times as you need. He knows the Way is demanding—forgiving over and over, loving enemies, turning the other cheek, going the extra mile, avoiding judgment, and serving instead of being served. That’s why he is your constant companion and provides a community of support, inspiration, and accountability. Friedens Church is one of those communities pleased to welcome and support those who dare to follow.

The Word is for you. The Word has saved a place for you. Take heart and be encouraged.
