Good Words from the Word - Part 2
We can all use some encouragement. Why not open our hearts and minds to the One we call the Word, the embodiment of Divine wisdom and life?
After his baptism, Jesus began his ministry with an announcement of repentance (Mark 1:14-15). Repentance is much more than feeling remorse for something we have done that hurt ourselves or others. Repentance is a turn away from the guilt, pain, and hopelessness of our sin, toward the One who can work through us for a fresh start. Repentance gives us the courage to admit when we are wrong, receive God’s grace, seek forgiveness from those we have hurt, make amends, accept consequences, and learn lessons so we do better next time. Repentance is a process of transformation that is a daily part of a disciple’s life.
The Word is for you. The Word specializes in second chances. Take heart and be encouraged.
Yours in Christ,
Marc
